Brand new to the London events market, a beautiful Secret River Garden venue is waiting to be discovered.
Tucked behind winding lanes and a hidden wooden gate is a stunning garden which runs down onto the River Thames. The Secret River Garden is a wild riverside lawn and woodland right on the banks of the Thames in Twickenham. If you didn’t know about it you would never know it existed, its tucked away and feels really private, a little slice of country only a few miles from central London.
Where the river runs wild….
Nestled among the wild garden and woodland, two elegant marquees will be installed for selected dates in April, May and June offering clients everything they will need for their summer event. This is a secret river garden venue you won’t have heard of – there’s no website and everything is bought in for events – it really is off the grid and only for those ‘in the know’ . It’s also only available for a few select dates each year, making it truly exclusive – so you’ll need to book ahead if you want to secure this romantic outdoor location. Perfect for up to 150 – 200 people, guests can enjoy welcome drinks on the main lawn over-looking the Thames before following a winding path through the woodland as the stunning main marquee is revealed and a late lunch enjoyed, with views of the river through the dappled light of the weeping willow and, as the day drifts into evening, an open bonfire can be lit for guests to gather round whilst sipping drinks from a pop-up gin or whisky bar hidden in the woods. This is a very special place where you are transported back in time, a place where you feel in the depths of the countryside but only 20 minutes from Waterloo.
Sweeping woodland and riverside views
The Secret River Garden is the most exquisite, private summer venue. From corporate picnics to stylish soirees, nothing says summer like a gorgeous garden party. Our lush lawn is perfect for a game of croquet or funfair stalls, whilst wandering musicians will create a relaxed vibe as guests enjoying canapes and a glass of sparkling wine in the most perfect riverside location.
Host riverside barbecues for lunch or dine in the summer twilight with great food, great wine and great company. How about choosing a Dingley Dell piggie roast, infused with a special cider and spice marinade and finally given a rub with clarified butter and lemon and pepper infused sea salt (imagine the crackling). The end product is moist and super tasty.
Looking for something a little lighter? Treat your team to a truly indulgent champagne afternoon tea by the waters edge, surrounded by seasonal blooms in the lush gardens. You might fancy our sharing Millefeuille – an elegant, but gloriously messy, generous, utterly delicious dessert, which encourages everyone to get together and get stuck in!
