Ravens Ait is the only island venue in London and it’s a really magical location.
Ravens Ait is only accessible by boat so wanting to know more about it we took the ferry around the island and let the quiet life take over as we went past this mellow venue with just a few swans for company and the odd boat drifting past.
Ravens Ait overlooks Hampton Court gardens and has event rooms with bi-fold doors opening up onto stunning views of the Thames which can also be enjoyed from the terraces or sweeping gardens. The venue itself is incredibly flexible with a variety of rooms, suites and a large marquee that means it can be configured into a variety of set-ups and sizes, suitable for business meetings, conferences, weddings and it is of course perfect for a company away day with a large lawn that is ideal for team activities, with break out areas inside. In the evening the barbecue can be stoked up, as you let all your worries drift downstream.
The nearest train station is Surbiton which is only 17 minutes from Waterloo meaning you can escape London for the tranquility of the countryside in 30 minutes and enjoy a slice of island life.
