Out of all the new venues 2019 this is the big one. Still in construction but due to open in the summer, Magazine is a 3,000 capacity events venue on Greenwich Peninsular that will operate as a versatile blank canvas venue, with leading production facilities and seated capacities for awards, dinners and conferences. There will be also be an outdoor space with panoramic views of Canary Wharf cityscape. An additional space known as ‘Showground’ will increase capacity up to 7,000 guests and offers opportunities for summer parties, installations, product launches and displays.

Secret River Garden
The most romantic of the new venues 2019, The Secret River Garden is the place to hire if you’re looking to escape the city this summer. Nestled among wild gardens and woodland, two elegant marquees will be installed for selected dates in April, May and June offering clients everything they will need for their summer event. This secret river garden venue is also only available for a few select dates each year, making it truly exclusive. With capacity for up to 150 – 200 people it’s perfect for away days, corporate functions and stylish soirees or a great space to create your own mini festival in a day. A range of interactive workshops and activities are also available.

Opening 1st February on the top of the Science Museum, Illuminate is a brand new event and conference space, designed to both anticipate and surpass the needs of the events industry. Situated on Levels 4 and 5 of the Science Museum it will be available for both daytime and evening hire, with capacities of up to 400 for dinners and conferences and 450 for receptions. Among the unique features of this new space is a panoramic window on Level 5, offering stunning views of the City and an abundance of natural daylight, it will be a key element in ensuring a productive meeting or conference experience.

Kent House Knightsbridge
What’s better than a favourite venue getting a new space for 2019? Historic townhouse Kent House Knightsbridge extends its offering this summer with two new terraces making it perfect for corporate and private functions including drinks receptions and networking events. BBQ packages are available and with a capacity of 300 across indoors and outdoor areas, this sophisticated venue offers a glamorous and prestigious backdrop to your summer nights.

Originally home to a blues and skiffle club, the iconic Soho Roundhouse has undergone a £1 million restoration and opened at the end of November 2018 as a premier bar, club and lounge space. With a capacity of 350 and spread across three floors, Soho Residence is the most exciting and anticipated new venue Soho has seen in decades. We love the sound of the botanical bar with banquette seating and hanging plants serving cocktails. The opulent gin parlour and Festival Club spaces are available for private hire.

120 Fenchurch Street
Another new rooftop opens in London, capitalising on our appetites for great food and great views. The latest offering from the D&D London Group, 120 Fenchurch Street, will be located on the floor below a “public sky garden” and will be a restaurant for 200+ guests with stunning views of the River Thames, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and The Shard. Details of private hire are to be confirmed but it’s location in the City of London, views and capacity will make it a popular location for summer parties and corporate events.

Kimpton Fitzroy London
Originally opened in 1898 as Hotel Russell, we can’t claim that Kimpton Fitzroy London in Bloomsbury counts as a new venue but it has recently undergone a £85 million refurbishment restoring it to its original splendor—galleried lobby, sweeping marble staircase, double-height ballroom, and all. The ballroom boasts original architectural details, a full wall of windows, and a mezzanine gallery and is suitable for up to 450 guests whilst the ground floor has a range of meeting rooms available. Additional Kimpton hotel openings are due to be rolled out in 2019 in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester.

Bob Bob Cité
The long-awaited follow-up restaurant from Russian restaurateur Leonid Shutov and his cult Soho venue Bob Bob Ricard, is expected to open in March 2019 and has already been inundated with requests for bookings. The restaurant will open on level three of the Leadenhall Building in the City and you can expect more glamour with the champagne buttons remaining intact (except now that it’s in the city, that Champagne can naturally be ordered in Magnums, Jeroboams, and Methuselahs) but with a switch from Anglo-Russian cuisine to French, country-style cooking for up to 190 guests. Will also offer three private hire spaces.

The White Huas
Just opened at the tail end of 2018 for the winter season, The White Haus is a brand new apres ski style pub in Farringdon with rustic décor complete with cosy corners, cuckoo clocks and vintage cable cars. With two private bars across three floors there’s a range of spaces for events making it suitable for intimate dinner parties or business meetings, whilst the Balcony has a more relaxed feel with fireplace, small sofas and low tables. The all-day menu features schnitzels and sauerkraut to Swiss beer-battered fish and chips and sharing boards of Baked Mont d’Or, pickles and potatoes.
