Bathe in a new exquisite event venue
A new exciting event space is a thing to be treasured and The Victorian Bath House is a real gem.
The Victorian venue, just two minutes away from Liverpool Street, appears frozen in time, juxtaposed against a backdrop of modern buildings. Given the unexpected nature of its location, you’ll fall for its charms before you even enter.
Once inside you leave the modern world outside as you transcend into the splendid interior of this Grade II venue. Originally erected in 1895 to house a Turkish Bath for those working in the city, the building has withstood World War II and office redevelopments projects in the surrounding area. It’s a beautifully preserved venue which has been stunningly restored by the design team of Russell Sage Studio who have repaired the original tessellating mosaics and crimson pillars to create a unique interior.
In terms of an event space, it can accommodate up to 150 guests. Its city location, with easy transport links, makes it perfect for corporate guests but we can also see private guests wanting to use it for a range of special celebrations including wedding receptions. The event space is flexible with a greet and meet area upstairs and a downstairs space that can be configured in different formats and includes some stunning stand out features such as a free standing bath that can be filled with ice for drinks or even for serving a spectacular sushi platter.
As the venue is underground the lighting is warm, intimate and atmospheric but don’t think this means the venue isn’t suitable for summer and it also has the holy grail in London event space – an outside terrace. Drinks receptions can be taken outside in the terrace or inside with cocktails made from the pre-infused Kilners and a range of dining opportunities are available from caterer’s Lucas Gardiner house menu that takes period inspiration with dishes including The Great Victorian Dessert Trolley.
