London is hot, hot, hot this Summer. No doubt the sticky heat is causing your mind to wander to your after work plans, desperate to soak up every single second of sun for our short lived tropical heatwave! Need to find some great London summer venues to escape to?
We’ve put together a cheeky little snapshot of our favourite rooftops, pop ups and alfresco dining spots where you can truly embrace the wondrous weather for as long as possible!
This Hackney based pop up rooftop garden comes complete with deck chairs, an in-house brewery and middle eastern BBQ fare. Not to be missed, and you’ve got time as it runs until September! Great for a casual drink after work or a lazy afternoon to tease out your freckles.
Venture East again and explore off Liverpool Street. This venue’s got great food, fancy drinks, strings of fairy lights and a fragrant herb garden – what’s not to love? Look out over London whilst impressing your friends with this ultra ambient find; perfect for dining on balmy summer evenings – but make sure you book first as it’s super popular with the in-crowd!
Calm and tranquility might not be your first association with Holborn but that’s what you’re find in this venue. Venture up to the Courtyard of this Boutique Hotel and feel transported into a glorious Greek garden, surrounded by white washed walls, trailing plants and cool blue and white furniture.
How could we not include this? One of favourite venues to work at, Kensington Roof Gardens really is the ultimate place to come to escape. Chill in the Moroccan snug after exploring the Spanish Gardens, or recline, cocktail in hand, in the Tudor Gardens and pretend you are far, far away from London’s daily grind.
And if you can’t get away to a real beach this summer, why not wiggle your toes in the sands of Costa del Camden!? The Roundhouse presents Camden Beach once more, complete with deck chairs, beach huts, ping pong and of course, a fridge full of beers. Get down early to make the most of your beach time – the two pop up restaurants will keep you fed and happy, and you’ll be able to cool down with a refreshing Stoli lemonade sorbet. Grab your bucket and spade, there are sand castles to be made!
