National Leon Day (Noel spelled backwards) marks 6 months from Christmas day. Six months might seem a long time if all you need to do is think about your Christmas shopping list but if you’ve got an office party to plan then it’s a key date; and alarmingly it’s already passed, back on June 25th. So we don’t want to panic you but now really is the time to get organised for booking your Christmas party.
December is filling up fast and if you want to get the best venue or secure a key date or are just after some suggestions about what to do, we can help. Here’s a list of some of our favourite Christmas venues and packages to get you inspired.
Leighton House
An absolute gem of a venue, this ‘private palace of art’ is situated in west London, just around the corner from Robbie Williams new home making it truly part of the fashionable set. Leighton House is the spectacular studio house of Victorian artist Lord Leighton and offers guests the opportunity to experience an opulent Christmas party.
It’s perfect for cocktail receptions with champagne and canapés served in the incredible surroundings of the famous Arab Hall, based on the 12th-century palace of La Zisa, in Palermo, with its golden dome and Leighton’s priceless collection of Iznik tiles.
Guests can then go on to enjoy an evening of fine dining at Leighton’s original dining table. Hardly ever used since his death in 1896, this is an intimate opportunity to experience the House exactly as Leighton did. This is a stunning setting for a more personal and immersive dinner for 16 guests, whilst the studio, lined with Leighton’s original artworks, offers a larger space for up to 60 guests.
Sky Garden
Trying to find an event space for up to 450 guests can be a challenge but the Sky Garden offers not just a large space for events and celebrations but also provides the highest garden in London. It’s a beautiful space set in the heart of the impressive gardens, offering exceptional views.
Sky Garden is a unique event space with extraordinary, panoramic views across London. Sky Garden can comfortably host 300 guests for a dinner and up to 475 guests for a reception. For smaller gatherings try the Sky Pod Bar ideal for parties of 10 to 50 guests.
Victoria Bath House
The Victorian Bath House, located a short distance from Liverpool Street Station, was erected in 1895 to house a Turkish Bath. Once inside you leave the modern world outside as you transcend into the splendid interior of this Grade II venue.
In terms of an event space, it can accommodate up to 150 guests. The city location, with easy transport links, makes it perfect for corporate guests and it will be a really special venue for Christmas. The event space is flexible with a meet and greet area upstairs and a downstairs space that can be configured into different formats; including some stunning stand out features such as a free standing bath that can be filled with ice for drinks or even for serving a spectacular sushi platter.
Kent House Knightsbridge
Kent House Knightsbridge is a private townhouse with a royal history and is located in the heart of prestigious Knightsbridge and has become firmly established as one of the best Christmas party venues in London.
This year the venue celebrates the pure, raucous fun of the period of prohibition with a luxurious new party package; Speakeasy Salon. Spend a night of covert dancing in the ‘secret’ London salon and step back in time to the roaring 1920s and the underground world of forbidden drinks, gangsters and glamorous flapper girls for a night of pure, raucous entertainment. This promises to be a night of pure decadence and hedonism. For an exclusive Christmas party the venue is perfect for stand-up receptions for 300 and sit-down dinners for 160.
Steel Yard
Located in the heart of London, underneath Cannon Bridge Station, The Steel Yard has been extensively refurbished and offers a new experience to the corporate market. This urban London venue compromises two beautifully restored Victorian railway arches and has been fitted with extensive lighting and production.
For the 2016 Christmas season, The Steel Yard is celebrating with a luxury new party package: Lumiere, perfect for stand up receptions for up to 500 and sit down dinners for up to 200. The venue will be filled with stunning interactive LED lighting, bright neon artwork as well as impressive LED acts.
Bob Bob Ricard
Designed by the same team behind the Woseley, BBR in Soho is a riot of opulence with pink uniformed waiters serving a luxury English and Russian menu in its glamorous all booth dining room. With a ‘press for champagne’ button, it’s famous for pouring more champagne than any other restaurant in London.
The new private dining room at Bob Bob Ricard offers a gorgeous private setting, complete with a working fireplace. The design takes inspiration from the dining carriages of the Orient Express and the Royal Train. The full menu is available to order and the private room accommodates 16 guests and is even open on Christmas day.
