Amber Lakes is a tranquil landscape of 450 acres, just 40 minutes from London, and offers the perfect backdrop to any event. Set between two picturesque lakes, the lodge offers a gorgeous unique venue where the possibilities are endless. The spacious Lodge is made from cedar and oak with expansive windows framing the breath taking views and can host up to 120 guests for a seated dinner and 200 for a standing reception however the capacity of the site allows for up to 500 guests for an outdoor event.
Sunbeam Studios largely operates as a photographic studio but 25 times a year is available for all types of events. Built in the 1930’s as the HQ of the Sunbeam Talbot Motor Company, the first purpose build motor car factory, it blends Edwardian elegance with a modern, clean aesthetic. The venue is made up of three large halls and two meeting rooms with connect via a mezzanine and grand staircase, opening onto extensive private gardens. Vaulted ceilings and arched windows with light spaces make this venue the perfect place to host an impressive event.
Kent House Knightsbridge
Kent House Knightsbridge is a beautiful Victorian townhouse that offers light and neutral space within a grand setting allowing for enormous flexibility in use. It has proved to be exceptionally popular for weddings, conferences, product launches, corporate events and Christmas parties and you may have recently spotted it in the last series of The Apprentice. With neutral coloured spaces you are free to create your own branding or styling. As the only surviving townhouse of its kind, the venue has a number of spaces and can cater for numbers between 50 and 300 people.
West Reservoir Centre
Situated on the banks of a picturesque lake, Stoke Newington West Reservoir Centre is a stunning 1930s structure; originally built as a filter house on the side of the reservoir. The venue is a four storey red brick tower with stunning structural design elements including the original water processing equipment in the ceiling. In the day it’s flooded by natural light and in the evening can be illuminated to provide drama to the setting.
The wonderful views means that it is the perfect setting for meetings and parties and wedding receptions. There are two outdoor terraces overlooking the glistening water to provide an incomparable experience in a one-of-a-kind venue. Suitable for up to130 for a seated dinner or 150 for a standing reception.
Loft Studios features natural brickwork, high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, wooden floors, large windows as well as skylights that allow for abundant daylight. With 5 interlinking spaces and 2 large secluded courtyards this space is perfect for a range of events. Partially covered courtyards means the venue is also able to facilitate a combination of indoor and outdoor events all year round.
Another Stoke Newington venue, this 6,5000sq/ft industrial warehouse is set over four floors with a variety of textured walls and different floors as well as large windows offering a great natural daylight. The ground floor originally housed horse stables, and is dark and atmospheric with a spiral staircase and original lift shaft. The first floor has a mezzanine floor and dilapidated, peeling walls, while the second and third levels have more of a loft-feel with original polished oak floorboards and a mixture of glazed and textured brick walls. The location is the birthplace of the original ‘Dragons Den’ and is popular for corporate events – you may have also seen it recently as the home of Lord Snowdon in The Crown.
Totalling over 6,000 sq. ft. of stylish event space and split over two adjacent buildings, Carousel’s ultra-flexible, blank canvas spaces can accommodate events of all different shapes and sizes. This vast space has an industrial, warehouse fell and comes with high ceilings and polished concrete floors. Room for 120 guests seated and 180 standing it’s a great party venue. The stylish and contemporary event spaces can accommodate events of all different shapes and sizes, from three-floor press event take-overs to more intimate affairs such as private banqueting for family and friends.
Hurtle around the city on the back of a secret subterranean postal train at the Postal Museum, a unique event space which includes an immersive underground ride through the 100 year old secret tunnels. There are two spaces available in this unique venue; The Mail Road depot (for up to 275 people) which is a blank canvas space with inspiring architectural features and vaulted brick arches whilst The Postal Museum (ideal for up to 140 guests) itself offers a contemporary space that’s light and bright with a private courtyard featuring a living wall.
The Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultal Halls
As one of the largest uninterrupted floor spaces in Central London, the Lindley Hall is an easily accessible, Grade II listed building which is entirely flexible and is even big enough to fit cars in. The hall’s glass-vaulted ceiling lets in an abundance of natural light and can be fully blacked out if required. It’s your blank canvas for every type of event, hosting conferences, exhibitions, fashion shows, banquets, weddings, product launches and many other events. You may have seen its stunning backdrop in music videos by Robbie Williams and Ellie Goulding.
Altitude 360 is located on the 29th floor of Westminster’s tallest building. As you can imagine, the views are stunning but you would really have to come and see for yourself.
