With its nonsensical approach and inspirational characters it’s no surprise that Alice In Wonderland is such a popular theme for events. Our client asked us to help them bring their networking evening to life at The Shard by recreating the magical worlds glimpsed through the looking glass, so we helped guests disappear down the rabbit hole by creating an enchanted backdrop for an adults only Mad Hatters Tea Party.

Our oversized bouncing white rabbit and a smiling Alice were on hand to greet everyone on arrival whilst guests were entertained throughout the night with a roaming magician, illusionist and caricaturist.

It’s a quick turnaround at The Shard with only one hour to dress the venue so our team had to have everything ready to install with lots of props on hand such as painted birdcages, musical clocks and beautiful rainbow roses alongside bigger pieces such our hedgerow bar and croquet lawn complete with white picket fencing and flamingo mallets.

Guests came to realise that looks can be deceiving as delicious treats weren’t all they seemed; an edible garden, summer pea soup served from teapots into cups & saucers and macaroons masquerading as mini burgers, fondants disguised as eggs & soldiers were some of the unexpected canapes served.
