Evolve re-visited The Orangery at 11 Cavendish Square this summer to organise a 21st birthday for Ines and 60 of her closest friends and family. Providing the perfect backdrop for a summer’s evening, we worked with Ines to help her incorporated her heritage into the event with a ‘twist of Spain’ in her dress code and venue dressing.
As a nod to the Spanish theme flowers were an unstructured array of white hydrangea, lisianthus and peonies with pops of mandarin and greenery giving a fresh pretty lift to the tables. The bespoke stationery and place-cards came in the form of rich cream card with layers of terracotta and pale orange and tiny seed pearls adorned each again bringing in subtly the colours that best represented Spain to Ines.
Beginning with a sparkly drinks reception in the Garden Room and Courtyard guests soon moved through to the stunning Orangery which was lit in pale golds and ambers giving a gorgeous glow to the room as the sun went down. Following raucous speeches from the birthday girl’s father and best friends, guests dined on a delicious three course menu which ended on a dessert high of the infamous Cavendish Trio; pavlova of mango and passion fruit sorbet, mini strawberry crème brule and ginger dark chocolate tart.
As the bar ramped up with mojitos and caipirinhas, so did the DJ with a mix of contemporary music and Latin dance numbers from greats such Gypsy Kings, Shakira, Ricky Martin, J-Lo ensuring that friends and family did not leave the dance floor until the early hours.
